Lisa Kennamer's Class

Hello! This is my first year at the Blount County Learning Center and I am very excited to be here! I have been teaching for 14 years and was previously with Jefferson County Schools where I served students with multiple disabilities.
I am a graduate of UAB and Faulkner University. I also attended Southern Illinois University for most of my undergraduate studies.
Our class academic instruction is based on the Alabama Extended Standards, presented to the students based on their ability level. We also focus on life skills, communication, and promoting independence.
