Lori Bush's Class

Hello My Name Is...

Lori Bush

welcome bit

I'm a 1994 and 1998 graduate of Jacksonville State University. GO GAMECOCKS! I received my bachelor's in deaf education and my master's in learning disabilities from JSU. I am highly qualified to teach preschool - 12th grade.

I'm married with one daughter, eight dogs, and a guinea pig. We live in Cullman County. I'm a Blount County native and a 1991 graduate of J. B. Pennington High School.

My classroom concentrates on academics based on the Alabama Alternate Standards and also includes life skills, vocational skills, and community based instruction. My students are 10th grade up to age 21 with various disabilities including but not limited to moderate intellectual disabilities and autism.

This is my 21st year at the Blount County Learning Center. I taught 15 years in the preschool special education program before moving up to the high school class.

I look forward to an awesome school year!
